Terms of Service
Effective August 30, 2026. Last updated August 30, 2026.
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your access to and use of BattleBid (the Service), including the public leaderboard, rank purchases, Battle Tokens, podium battles, and related features. By using the Service or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service or purchase a rank.
Contact
Questions, legal notices, and payment-support requests can be sent to contact@battlebid.com. Public updates are available from @oliver_kado on X.
These Terms work together with the public Rules. The Rules explain the game mechanics. If the Rules and these Terms conflict, these Terms control.
What BattleBid provides
BattleBid is a public paid leaderboard and battle game. Completed one-time bids order eligible listings from rank #4 downward. The top three positions cannot be purchased; they are founded under the Rules and then won through Battle Token attacks.
A purchase creates or updates a public listing and its current paid fallback bid. It does not buy a fixed numeric rank, a fixed placement duration, exclusivity, traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, search ranking, or a podium win. Other completed bids may change every paid rank at any time.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. If you act for a business or another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind them and to promote the submitted destination.
You may not use the Service where doing so would violate applicable law, sanctions, or other legal restrictions.
Listings
You may submit a supported public website, app-store page, or social profile that you own or are authorized to promote. You are responsible for the destination and for the accuracy and legality of the information you submit.
You confirm that your listing and destination:
- do not impersonate another person, product, or organization;
- do not infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- are not fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, or used for phishing or malware;
- comply with applicable advertising, consumer, privacy, and regulated-industry laws; and
- comply with the content and destination restrictions in the Rules.
BattleBid normalizes submitted destinations. Tracking, referral, and other query parameters may be removed, and shortened links may be replaced by their validated final public destination.
Bids, paid ranks, and repeat purchases
Bids use whole US-dollar amounts within the limits shown by the Service. Higher completed bids rank above lower bids; equal bids retain completion order. A lower bid still receives the highest paid position that amount can hold.
Every submission is a new full-price purchase. Submitting the same normalized listing again replaces that listing's current paid fallback bid; it is not a difference payment or an owner-only raise. A podium holder keeps its current reign and HP when its paid fallback is updated.
A current #1 listing has no legal higher target. Its repeat purchase therefore requires explicit fallback-only confirmation and creates no Battle Token. The token and target rules for other listings are described in the Rules.
Podium, Battle Tokens, and attacks
Ranks #1, #2, and #3 are governed by the founding and battle rules. When a completed purchase has a legal higher podium target, it creates one Battle Token and, after payment is verified, BattleBid returns you to the Service and automatically opens the attack flow. You choose an eligible higher podium target and start the spin by using the spin button or dragging the wheel.
A Battle Token is single-use and must be used immediately in that same post-payment flow. Stay on the BattleBid return page after payment and do not leave or close it until payment confirmation finishes and the attack wheel opens. Leaving or closing the page before the wheel opens, or dismissing or abandoning the attack flow before the attack is submitted, can permanently forfeit access to the token. Tokens expire 15 minutes after the completed purchase. A forfeited, expired, or otherwise unused token receives no replacement spin, extension, credit, or refund except where required by law.
When an attack is submitted, the Service determines its damage on the server as a whole number from 0 to 100 and consumes the token. The wheel animation reveals that server-determined result; it does not determine or change the damage. Closing the page after submission or interrupting the animation does not undo the attack or restore the token. Damage remains on the defending reign until that reign ends. The listing that lands the final hit takes the attacked position under the Rules, while paid fallback rights remain attached to the listings' current completed bids.
Battle outcomes involve chance. A purchase never guarantees damage, a successful attack, or a podium position.
Checkout, Dodo Payments, and taxes
Checkout is processed by Dodo Payments. Payment details are provided to Dodo Payments under its own terms and privacy notice; BattleBid does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Bid amounts are denominated in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added by the payment provider at checkout. Taxes do not increase the pre-tax bid used to order the BattleBid leaderboard. A listing or Battle Token is created only after BattleBid receives and verifies successful payment confirmation. An abandoned, pending, failed, reversed, or unverified checkout does not reserve a rank.
Refunds and payment disputes
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed purchases are final and non-refundable. You ask BattleBid to begin providing the digital ranking service immediately after verified payment. Being outranked, receiving low or zero damage, failing to win the podium, receiving fewer visits than expected, downtime, or removal for violating these Terms does not create a refund right.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived. Contact contact@battlebid.com about a payment problem before initiating a chargeback. We may remove a listing or restrict future purchases when a payment is reversed or disputed without a valid legal basis.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- submit illegal, fraudulent, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, infringing, or exploitative content;
- submit chat or invite links, concealed destinations, or unsupported link shorteners;
- manipulate clicks, attacks, checkout, ranks, or other Service data;
- bypass security, validation, rate limits, or access controls;
- use automated access that unreasonably burdens the Service, or scrape it to operate a competing paid leaderboard; or
- interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service except where mandatory law expressly permits it.
Public metadata and license
Listings and battle activity are public and may be indexed or copied by others. To identify a submitted destination, BattleBid may retrieve and display public names, titles, descriptions, handles, logos, favicons, app icons, and related metadata.
You grant BattleBid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, resize, format, reproduce, and publicly display the submitted listing and its public metadata for operating, securing, explaining, and promoting the Service. You confirm that you can grant this license. It ends when the material is no longer reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to backups, legal records, and public ranking or battle history.
Third-party names, marks, images, and destinations remain the property of their respective owners. Appearance on BattleBid does not imply review, certification, sponsorship, or endorsement by BattleBid or by the rights holder.
Moderation and removal
We may reject, delay, correct, hide, or remove a listing or related activity when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or the Rules, infringes rights, creates legal or security risk, results from an invalid payment, or harms the Service. Where practical, contact us to report a listing and include the listing, destination, reason, and enough information to assess the request.
Removal does not erase payment, security, fraud-prevention, or historical battle records that must reasonably be kept, and does not create a refund except where required by law.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that listing metadata, ranks, traffic counts, or other information will always be complete or accurate.
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update the Rules or these Terms. Material Terms changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. Terms in effect when a purchase was completed continue to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or is reasonably necessary to address fraud, security, or legal risk.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BattleBid disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the purchase giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or injury caused by negligence where such a limit is prohibited.
Governing law and venue
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or a purchase are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and BattleBid consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and waive objections based on inconvenient forum or improper venue.
This section does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections of the law of the consumer's residence or any right to bring a claim in a local court that cannot lawfully be waived. Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court or seek urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
General
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Rules, and the checkout details form the agreement governing your use and purchase.
